The worldsnake wends its way on a winding path through time and space.

The snake itself represents life, or the living world, It constantly moves forwad in an eratic fashion showing the unpredictability of life's outcomes. Behind it it pulls the sun which here represents both knowledge and new life:
In the sense of new life the sun is the beginning of the journey which sould underake as they travel up the worldsnake reaching ultimately for enlightenment (represented by the eye) and ending in death.
In the sense of Knowledge the sun is the ultimate knowledge, analagous to the sun in Plato's analogy of the cave which represents the form of the good, The eye constantly follows the sun which it drags behind it, representing our constant struggle to understand the life beyond which only exists because of our own world which we do not fully comprehend.
The fact that the worldsnake follows its own tail also represents the circularity of life and of time and that whilst both are unpredictable in their journey, often the end result is its own beginning.
